- Use oatmeal paste: Make a paste by mixing oatmeal with warm water and apply it on your skin twice a day. This will help reduce the irritation and inflammation of your skin.
- Protect from sunlight: As far as possible, avoid going out in the direct sun. Apply a sunscreen lotion with proper sun protection factor (SPF) to protect your skin from sunlight.
- Take apple cider vinegar: Rosacea patients are often found to be deficient in digestive enzymes in the intestine. Taking apple cider vinegar orally can help release digestive enzymes and improve your digestion. However, it is best to consult a doctor before having apple cider vinegar as continuous use of it may cause some problem in the intestine. The doctor may prescribe some appropriate digestive enzyme supplements.
- Use gentle cleansers: Be particularly careful about the cosmetics you use to cleanse your skin. Do not use any product that contains alcohol or other skin irritants. Also, avoid wearing make-up for a long duration as it may clog the skin pores and deteriorate your condition further.
